U2 are angry. Bono sits before the TV camera with his head in his hands. He is finding it difficult to get across to the interviewer just how relevant his band still are. “Even more so now,” he says. The Edge steps up to the camera, he is keen to usurp the singer as leader of U2. He waves his fist into the camera. U2 are angry.

Two dogs (their names begin with the letter J – one of them is certainly called Jessie) are guarding a long & sandy driveway. The gate at the end is open. I watch them from a distance. They race up & down, barking.
